I'm a 23 year old girl, still trying to grow up. I have my moments of blatant immaturity, and other moments when I'm far too serious. I love to laugh. I often get more offended than I should. I love my job, but I don't exactly love where I work. I have the best friends in the world; but God, some days they drive me crazy. Most of my relationships seem to fail because either he or I get more attached and clingy than the other, and everything falls apart. I don't talk about my problems as much as I should, and things come to a head, and I flip out. My life is not as complicated as I make it out to be. I've somehow ended up finding a career in emergency medicine. I've learned that I fit here because everyone who does is just a bit left of center; you have to be. I have chosen to dedicate my life to taking care of and transporting the sick and injured, being there for them at the worst moment of their lives, and seeing things that most couldn't even imagine. The challenge is not to take it home. The challenge is not to get too emotionally involved. The challenge is not to get attached. To me, it's more emotionally exhausting than it is physically. I'm a huge girly-girl whenever outside of work. I sing in my car. I pay lots of money to get my hair done. I love shopping, and love a good bargain even more. Jewelry, handbags, belts, and shoes are among my weaknesses. Oh, and big sunglasses. I love them. I try to laugh and make others laugh every day. I think it's good for the soul. I know when to be serious, but can't stand to be serious all the time. When I do get rather offensive, it isn't deliberate. I'm pretty sure my brain just isn't connected to my mouth sometimes, and I forget to bite my tongue. This is my life, my place to vent, my place to share ideas and explore the lives of others. I have learned through past experience to keep this journal friends only, so please leave a comment on the first entry asking to be added if you feel so inclined to read. |
